We have general meetings on Wednesdays every fortnight with breaks for the public and summer holidays. The meetings are an opportunity to listen to a speaker, have a coffee or tea and see what is going on in the U3A more generally. Entry costs £2 and the annual subscription is £7 starts on 1st January
General meetings will be held on alternate Wednesdays starting at 2pm at the Whitehaven Cricket Club. Note local on site parking for speakers only. There are plently of car parks nearby

31st October Gerard Richardson OBE talks about some of his varied activities and various characters encountered over the years.
14th November Anne Dick will speak to us about the local men named on the memorial plaque in the United Reformed Church in
Whitehaven. She will tell us about their experiences in various arenas of combat in WW1. Along with images and
photos. Note this is a change to the programme in the Newsletter
